AvilaCare Senior Living Levels of Care

Independent Living

Level 1

This level of care is truly independent. We offer our residents basic support through providing living space, laundry service, cleaning, and meal preparation. Residents enjoy daily independence in setting their activities and schedules.

Attended Assistance

Level 2

Level 2 care provides all Level 1 services with additional support to meet minor needs but is able to walk and determine the schedule generally. Our team offers additional support through providing daily medication reminders, offering lift assistance or personal help with unusual tasks, health evaluations such as monthly blood pressure screenings, nutrition assistance, and weight management coaching.

Helpful Assistance

Level 3

Level 3 care is designed to support residents with moderate medical problems including occasional incontinence and memory loss or disorientation. Our team fosters their wellbeing through activities such as dressing, grooming, assisted bathing, nutritional advice and direction, transportation, and support in grounding disoriented residents in their homes.

Extended Assistance

Level 4

Level 4 care is tailored to support seniors with more extensive aid needs. Daily support includes managing incontinence, medication reminders, grooming, dressing, eating and nutritional supervision, using restroom facilities, and specialized care for disorientation or confusion from advancing dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

Intensive Assistance

Level 5

Level 5 care meets the more rigorous medical needs of our residents. When in Level 5 Care, residents receive trained medical help from a nurse or other licensed practitioner in activities such as diabetes management, pain management, catheterization, dressing changes, preventative care for bedridden patients (stretches and rotation to prevent pressure sores), medication management, and 24-hour medical staff access.
