Who We Are
AvilaCare Senior Living is founded on the belief that kindness enriches lives. Our team is rooted in a rich history of caring for our seniors, both professionally and personally. As an enterprise, we have actively been pursuing excellence for over 23 years. From our extensive and broad history of experience, we have learned and implemented the best practices to care for our work family, the AvilaFamily.
As a second-generation family owned and operated company, we’ve come to deeply understand the importance of staying connected. We strive to create a culture in which both team members and residents feel like they are part of our family.
Our commitment comes from the deep roots of our family company. Our original founders, John T and Andy B, came to America to escape communist persecution in Romania and take advantage of the endless possibilities that an American education provided. Being Romanian brought the mindset of multi-generational living into the company culture. For John and Andy, having multiple generations under the roof was the norm.
Mixing the two cultures has helped them develop communities that are old-school and family-focused, combined with a state of constantly learning and growing.
A Community of Difference
At AvilaCare Senior Living, we value our employees for the meaningful impact they make in the lives of residents every day – the wrinkled smiles, hearty laughter and warm hugs. They create loving homes that nurture and delight our residents and bring peace of mind to their families. Our success and strong company culture is directly attributed to the dedicated and loving employees who work fearlessly in our communities. This is the secret to our success:
Dependable
Having to meet new faces all the time can be very challenging for some individuals. Therefore, at AvilaCare, we pride ourselves for having some of the highest staff retention rates in the industry.
Brave
Our employees are some of the bravest nurses and support staff in the industry. They fearlessly come to work despite inclement weather conditions or if illness befalls our community. They are truly heroes.
Compassionate
Compassion means you treat everyone with dignity while maintaining integrity. It is fully understanding all of our residents' cognitive states and special needs. It is self-sacrifice for those who have been entrusted to our care.
